Plushcritter
In a nutshell, Plushcritters are a Wishborn species. They're, as the name implies, sentient dolls made up of a variety of fabrics and having a variety of outfits and a huge variety of shapes, from animal-like ones to... well, anything, really. You've seen a toy store before, right? There's more than just animals. Plushcritters, in general, are very much child-like in demeanor, having huge imaginations, being very curious and usually optimistic. They also really, really like books! Books are one of the more imagination driven things someone can do, so if you were to read one of them a children's book, they're probably already your friend. On the other hand, they can be a bit immature, favoring fun over work. This can led to procrastination and odd social behavior. They also have horrible eating habits, so don't expect a balanced diet if you room up with one. Speaking of their imagination, a Plushcritters main source of power is just that... their Imagination. You've heard a saying similar to "you can be anything or do anything you set your mind to", right? With a Plushcritter, this is literal. Their imagination can literally alter reality to whatever degree they think they can get away with. ((((((((((((((((WIP)))))))))))))))))))) You would think this would make them terrifyingly powerful, but again... due to a Plushcritter's childlike demeanor, they don't seem think too big or too malevolently. They really just wanna have fun. Each Plushcritter usually has a favorite food they call a "munchie". The way they process food is totally different than organics, so one perk to being one is you can eat one thing forever and not reap most downsides. Like, if your munchie is candy, you'll never have to worry about diabetes. We're not sure if this is because of their Imagination or not, but hey. You would still have to worry about becoming overweight, however. Being "overstuffed" is very much a thing. ((((((((((((((((((((((WIP))))))))))))))))))))) Usually what they're made of kinda determines what their roll might be, like if it's made of something tougher like let's say... denim, they'd work on jobs that'd be tougher on them and this'd also make them capable fighters and guards, having a bit of natural armor. On the flip side, maybe if they're made of softer materials or even have something like a nightlight, they'd be a healer or librarian or something. It can alter some aspect of reality. It's... kinda weird. It's like, basically they can do whatever they think they can get away with. Being childlike in demeanor, think of it like playing pretend. :P If a plushcritter picks up one of those plastic fold out beam swords, for instance, they can use that like an actual beam sword. If they use those inflatable sock 'em bopper hands and think they're a couple of "power fists", it's gonna pack a serious punch...... So yeah, plushcritters work on their own logic. :P (Side note: Misfit actually lacks this power, but it's not because he doesn't have an imagination...) There's also how they like to be picked up and held, because... they're plushies. :P They're made for that. They really like warmth, seeing as they can't make it themselves. I'm also toying (badumtsh) with the idea of them being able to fight nightmares. :P Also thinking about letting them be able to fight and absorb Fluxborn, but we'll see.
